Catering for social and competitive ballroom and Latin American dancers in the Bristol area, the Avon Amateur Dancers Club was formed in 1975.
Practice nights for competitors and serious dancers are held on Tuesdays and tea dances are held monthly for social dancers on Sunday afternoons.

Cloud9 dance classes are fun and sociable. Modern Jive is very quick and easy to learn and is a great way to meet new people, have fun and keep fit. There is no set course so you can just turn up any week. There is no need to bring a partner and even if you claim to have two left feet, we will have you up and dancing in no time.
At Cloud9, we pride ourselves on our friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Within no time at all, you will have a whole new group of friends and a new skill to enjoy.
If you are already a dancer, you will find a new approach to teaching Modern Jive at our class nights in Bath & Bristol. We teach good musicality, technique and style in an easy-to-follow format.

| Tea Dance Group At St Werburghs |
From the beginning of March 2011 St Werburghs Centre will restart the free weekly workshops for over 50's. The project is funded by Active Bristol Fund administrated by Quartet Community Foundation and NHS Bristol small grants scheme. The classes will fill the gap in the Centre's wide range of activities.
Tea Dances will be facilitated by Norma Daykin, an experienced teacher of Salsa and Ballroom Dance. The sessions will be run on Thursdays and will start with refreshments served from 2.00 pm, followed by 2 hours gentle dance session in the Main Hall and finished with a cup of tea and an opportunity to socialise until 4.30 pm. No partner or previous experience needed.
Both workshops will run weekly from the beginning of March until 22nd of July 2011 (excluding school holidays).
